Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Contrast Cube Inc. ("Contrast Cube," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit contrastcube.com or interact with our reservation form and surveys.

This policy does not cover consumer health data (for example, information about injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain you may share with us). That is addressed separately in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, which applies whenever health-related information is involved.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

• Your email address, when you submit our "Reserve Now" form or sign up through Mailchimp.
• Your answers to non-health-related reservation and survey questions (for example, what sports you play, or your open-ended comments).
• Any other information you choose to include when you contact us directly.

Information collected automatically:

• Like most websites, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically logs basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view. We use this only for standard website operation and troubleshooting.
• If we email you (see Section 4), our email platform may record whether you opened the email or clicked a link inside it.
• If you watch our video, which is hosted on YouTube and embedded on our site, YouTube/Google may set cookies and collect viewing data under their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review Google's Privacy Policy.

What we don't currently collect:

• We do not currently use advertising or analytics tracking pixels (such as Meta/Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, or TikTok Pixel) on our website. If we add any in the future, we will update this policy first and provide any opt-out or consent mechanism required by law.
• We do not currently collect payment information. If we begin collecting payments (for example, for a pre-order or Kickstarter campaign), we will update this policy to describe the payment processor involved before doing so.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

• Maintain our reservation list and respond to your submission;
• Send you updates about Contrast Cube's progress, and, over time, marketing communications about our product (see Section 4);
• Understand demand and improve our product; and
• Operate, maintain, and improve contrastcube.com.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run our website and communications, and only for the purposes described in this policy:

• The Rocket Science Group, LLC (Mailchimp) — stores your email address and reservation responses, and sends communications on our behalf.
• Typeform S.L. — collects and stores your survey responses.
• Hostinger — hosts the website you're viewing. Hostinger does not receive or store your form or survey responses; those go directly to Mailchimp or Typeform.
• YouTube/Google — hosts our embedded video content.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with any other third party for their own independent use.

4. Marketing Communications and Your Choices

If you reserve a Contrast Cube or complete a survey, you may receive emails from us, which today are limited to occasional progress updates and will over time include marketing communications about the product.

Every marketing email we send includes a working unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time by clicking that link or by emailing us at the address in Section 9, and we will honor your request promptly.

5. Children's Privacy

Contrast Cube is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. This site and our surveys are appropriate for teenagers and adults to use on their own. If we learn that we've collected personal information from a child under 13 without the required parental consent, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address in Section 9.

6. Where Your Information Is Processed

Contrast Cube is based in the United States, and the personal information we collect is stored and processed in the United States, primarily through Mailchimp and Typeform. We are not currently targeting visitors outside the United States. If you access our site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know what personal information we've collected about you, request a copy of it, request correction or deletion of it, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address in Section 9 describing your request. We will respond within 45 days; if we need more time, we'll let you know why. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. Data Retention and Security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or until you ask us to delete it. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practices change — for example, when we begin collecting payments or add analytics tools. We will update the "Last Updated" date above when we do, and for material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
